Don’t Fail as an Inventor

It’s easy enough to have a ‘great idea’ and call yourself an inventor, but if you don’t actually get round to making this brilliant idea, you’ve failed.

There’s no doubt about it, most inventors run into problems which can halt progress, but there are often various ways to work around issues, and whether your main problem is finding an investor, a manufacturer or building a prototype, you have to work to overcome the problem.

You may think your idea is genius, but that’s only the case if you’re able to sell the idea and generate interest in your particular product. Remember, you shouldn’t reveal your ideas too soon, however, and it can take time and a lot of patience to find the solution to the issues you come across along the way.

If you are planning to reveal your idea early on, then make sure you have a log book of notes from the early stages, proving that the idea is yours, should there be any event of intellectual property theft.
